Young and Young Dental Care are proud to continue the traditional care
begun by her father,
Dr. Keith Young
when he established his practice in 1957.
We use Dexis Digital X-rays. Dexis is the only digital system that
has been accepted by the American Dental Association. Our patients
are happy to know that Dexis Digital X-rays use 60-80% less
radiation than conventional x-rays. The DEXIS PerfectSize™ sensor is
ergonomically designed to be more comfortable and our patients
agree! By using digital x-rays,
there is no film required and we are able to see images instantly on
our flat screen monitors. These images can be enhanced by
magnification, contrast and coloring to better diagnose your
treatment needs.

Periodontal disease: Most Americans experience some form of periodontal
disease often without realizing it. Periodontal disease is chiefly responsible
for adult tooth loss, bleeding gums, receding gums, bad breath and even tooth
movement that can cause spaces between teeth. Periodontal disease has also
been linked to heart disease, strokes and low birth weight babies. Periodontal
disease is easily prevented with professional care. If recognized early,
treatment is simple and highly effective with
treatment from our trained professionals and in some cases the use
of
Arestin.
Once patients are diagnosed and treated properly, they are
followed up by three to six month periodontal maintenance recall visits.
In more advanced
cases, a board certified Periodontist is available to provide treatment.
